Mental Health Services by Mel Ricketts Psychology

Minimalist line drawing of a person looking down with clouds above.

Depression often feels like a heavy fog that makes even small tasks feel monumental. It can lead to withdrawal, a loss of interest in hobbies, and a persistent 'stuck' feeling.

In children and teenagers, this might manifest as increased irritability or 'acting out'. I use a practical CBT framework called Behavioural Activation, which focuses on helping you or your child re-engage with meaningful activities in a manageable way. By identifying the patterns that keep low mood in place, we work collaboratively to improve energy levels, boost motivation, and rediscover a sense of hope and purpose.
